Owner guidance

iSUP care & safety.

Use this guide alongside the instructions supplied with your board. The pressure marking beside the valve and the product manual always take priority over general guidance.

Before inflation

  • Choose a clean, flat surface away from sharp objects, hot asphalt and direct heat.
  • Check the valve, seams, fin box, D-rings, leash and deck for visible damage.
  • Make sure the valve pin is in the closed or raised position before connecting the pump.

Inflation & setup

  • Use the supplied hand pump or a compatible pressure-controlled electric pump.
  • Inflate only to the pressure printed beside the valve or stated in the model instructions. Never exceed the stated maximum.
  • Do not use an unregulated air compressor. Stop if the valve, gauge, seams or board behave abnormally.
  • Install the fin correctly and attach the appropriate leash before entering the water.

After every paddle

  • Rinse salt, sand and dirt away with fresh water, including around the valve and fin box.
  • Allow the board and accessories to dry completely before packing.
  • Release pressure when the board will be left in strong sun or heat, because internal pressure can rise.

Storage

  • Store clean and dry in a cool, ventilated place away from sunlight and heat.
  • Do not leave a fully inflated board inside a hot vehicle.
  • If deflated, roll it loosely toward the valve without sharp folds and avoid placing heavy objects on top.

Minor repairs

  • Find small air leaks with diluted soapy water, then mark, rinse, dry and fully deflate the board.
  • Use the supplied patch and adhesive exactly as instructed and allow the full curing time before inflation.
  • Only tighten a removable valve with the supplied tool while the board is deflated.
  • Contact AURA PADDLE for seam, structural or recurring valve leaks rather than attempting a major repair.

On-water safety

  • Check weather, tides, wind direction and local regulations before launching; avoid offshore winds.
  • Wear an appropriate personal flotation device and use a leash suited to the environment. Flowing water, flat water and surf may require different leash systems.
  • Carry waterproof communication, tell someone your plan and stay within your ability.
  • Use sun protection, carry drinking water and do not paddle while impaired.
